Races 2007

During 2007 we wasn´t able to be at the races as much as we wanted. During the off season we did a major rebuild on the car with the new rear end. It was a big task and this together with preparing 2 engines made us late out of the garage. We were ready for the Nitro Nationals but decided to spend time testing instead, and we did that at Malmö before the Veidec Festival.

 

Under 2007 blev vi lite försenade pga det massiva arbetet med ombyggnaden till den nya bakaxeln, tillsammans med att få till 2 motorer. Vi var klara till Nitro Nationals i Finland, men vi beslöt att testa i Malmö inför Viedec Festival istället.

 

MALMÖ ( test )

During last year we had problems with the engines, and these problems occured again when we ran them in the dyno. This made us to brainstorm on how to solve the overheating problems making our piston rings loose their strenght allmost immidiately after a few runs. We did some changes to the cooling system, and these modifications seemed to work.

We went to Malmö for some testing before Mantorp, and we worked hard on setting up the chassie with much appreciated help from Mikael Malmgrens US consultant Marcus Bowen. We only did one run, but car hooked up and went straight so we were really pleased.

 

Vi hade lite kylproplem på motorerna, så kolvringarna blev kass nästan direkt vid uppstart. En helgs brainstorming och ett modifierat kylsystem verkar ha fått problemen att försvinna. Vi åkte till Malmö för lite test inför Mantorp. Vi justerade chassiet tillsammans med Micke Malmgrens amerikanske kompis Marcus Bowen, och med denna hjälp så körde vi till slut en repa, där bilen gick rakt och fint.

 

MANTORP ( Veidec Festival )

First race for the season, and here we would really see what the rebuild on the rear end would do.The car runs straight so thats good, unfortunately the engines didnt respond for the rebuild we did during the winter so we lack som HP. We ran 7.18 @309 kmh. We didnt qualify, but we are still optimistic because the rear end rebuild looks like it did the trick for our handling problems. Now the car responds to adjustments.

 

Första racet för året och här skulle vi verkligen få se vad ombyggnaden av bakaxeln hade gjort. Bilen går väldigt rakt och fint så det verkar funka jättebra. Tyvärr är inte motorerna lika pigga, men vi körde 7.18 @ 309 kmh som bäst. Vi kvalade inte in, men nu har vi en bil som svarar på justeringar.

 

MALMÖ ( test )

We decided to test the car instead of going to the last FIA race of the season. We made 6 runs and we still have to tune both the chassie and engines. That will be the big task during the winter

 

Istället för att åka till FIA avslutningen i England så åkte vi till Malmö för lite mer test. Vi fick till 6 rundor, och dom visade på att vi har mycket justeringsarbete framför oss. Under vintern kommer motorerna att få sig en ordentlig uppdatering.
